The Romano family, which has been in the barbering business for four generations, has shop in Stowe, VT.
Romano's Barber Shop is a traditional barber and style shop, owned by Ryan Romano of Stowe, VT and his father, Bob Romano of Hanover, N.H.
Ryan Romano is a fourth-generation master barber carrying on the trade of his father, grandfather and great-uncle.
Bob Romano has owned and operated Hanover Haircutters for the past 17 years, after selling his barbershop of 35 years in Boston.
“My son and I have been thinking about opening a shop in Stowe for some time now,” he said. “We even had customers who drove down to Hanover from this area to get a haircut. After so many clients and friends encouraged us to open a shop here in town, we decided to go for it. Now, these folks can stay local.”
Every haircut at Romano Haircutters comes with a neck shave. as well as a shave around the ears, plus Romano Haircutters’ signature hot towel service. It offers services such as a full straight-razor shave and a men’s facial treatment.
“We provide clients with a clean, modern shop and offer old-fashioned services, rooted in the art of traditional barbering,” Ryan Romano said. “We have a flat-screen television playing sports to entertain clients while they wait and really comfortable barber chairs, so clients can truly relax and enjoy their cut.”
Shop hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 - 5, Wednesday from 10 - 7, and Saturday from 9 to 2. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome. Information: 802 -253-4441.
